Parts CUSTOM set of 15 cutters irons blades for Stanley 45 55 wood plane

Cutters or irons or blades for a Stanley 45 or 55 combination wood plane as pictured. One of the cutters appears to be a modified Stanley cutter, the 14 others appear to be custom made. They all have the special Stanley notch in the upper corner. Thickness of the 14 cutters all seems to be. 138 plus or minus a thousandth measured with dial calipers. Thickness of the Stanley cutter is about. The upper notches are inconsistent, with some wider than others. Most look like they started with a hole, and then milled out the space between the hole and the edge. Several of the notches like the notch on the 1/4 tongue might need to be opened up a hair. I don’t know who originally made these, and I can’t tell you anything about the steel. All of them have a dark patina (color) to the steel. Sargent notches are different than the Stanley 45 notch, so these will not fit properly in a Sargent 1080 or 1085 plane. From left to right. Five dado or plow cutters, which are marked with their sizes: “1/4″, “5/16″, “1/2″, “5/8″, and “3/4″. Two center bead cutters, one a deeper cut than the other, and both are marked “1/4 R”. Two tongue cutters, marked “5/16″ and “1/4″. Two unmarked reeding cutters, again one a deeper cut than the other. Overall cutter widths are about. 645″ each, for a nominal reed width of 1/8″. And four quarter round cutters. The cutter on the left probably started out as an unmarked Stanley 13/16 or number 18-1/2 cutter. The other three are marked “3/8 R”, “1/2 R”, and “3/4 R”. Condition of the 14 cutters is generally very good, with no rust or pitting, other than a hint of rust on a couple like the 3/4 quarter round. All of the sharp edges seem well made, except for the 3/4 quarter round which has had a rougher sharpening. Condition of the one Stanley cutter is fair to good, with some pitting at the upper end. The winner gets all 15 cutters! I sell what I enjoy, and I collect antique woodworking tools and I enjoy photography!
