Early type Record 044 plough / rebate plane, full set of cutters, fully restored. This is not a’complete’ plane’as found’, this has been carefully checked for missing or broken parts and made right, any unavailable parts or faults are clearly declared. This is an early Record 044 plough plane, complete with long and short pairs of rails but without the screw adjuster. Comes with a full set of. Imperial size blades all re-manufactured in High Speed Steel. Sizes are 1/8 ” – 9/16 “. HSS is this is the modern tool steel for cutting tools, used for drills etc. Still easy to sharpen in the normal way. All blades are properly hollow ground and honed both sides. Blades and short bars are supplied in a plastic storage box. Condition is far better than the norm, all working well. All are stripped, cleaned and examined for cracks, damage etc and carefully reassembled. Missing parts often need to be remanufactured in order to sell only complete usable planes.
