Here’s a beautiful old Stanley Rule and Level Co. 55 wood plane and cutters. Absolutely no rust, no cracks or repairs to wood handles, no cracks in the metal, and I don’t see anything broken or repaired. The wood plane is missing pieces so please look carefully to see what is there. There is full set of cutters, 43 in a box that holds them four deep, and it looks like all the spaces are accounted for so I don’t think any are missing. There are some various other parts and I don’t know if they belong to this tool or not. Everything comes in an original old wooden case. THe former owner’s name is written on two paper labels in the box, Fred W. Eames was an inventor and among other things held patents for Railroad airbrakes. If you google “Eames Vacuum Brakes” you can get more info on him. This item has been stored properly and unused for the past 80 years (at least, maybe longer). Other than wiping with a dry cloth, I have not cleaned any of the pieces/parts. See my other listings. For more great items! I know how important details can be!
