Thank you for looking. This is a well loved set of vintage spoke nippers. They are used to nip the ends of spokes that stick past the nipple, potentially puncturing a tube (besides looking unsightly). All work well, but are far from new. These tools have a genuine, “old school” high quality feel to them. Comes with decades of genuine shop patina. Really a pleasure to use, but my pro wheel building days are behind me, time to let someone else enjoy having the right set of tools for a specific job. They have 3 different head angles/types for different angles of approach and personal preference. My favorite is the ELDI right angle nipper, but I often used the others too. The VAR nippers have that French attention to detail that make for a very functional and attractive tool. I don’t know the brand of the flush cut nippers, I don’t see any branding or words.
