This is by far the nicest I have had in my hands. Nearly all of the plating is very nice. There are spots of plating loss on the cam stop. Plating is thin on the cutter bolt wing nut, showing a bit of gold color. There is a spot of heavier pitting on one of the longer arms. There are spots of finish loss on wood tote. The cutters are all in pretty nice condition. Some have heavier pitting, mostly on just one side. The #10 1/8 cutter is broken at the pinning end and may be slightly bent. There are spots of discoloration on nearly all off the cutters. There were two parts missing from this plane when I got it. The depth gauge and one screw (bolt) that locks the adjustable depth gauge in place. I have added both of those pieces to this plane. However, both of them have all of the plating gone. The booklet has some creases and staining. The wood cutter boxes and the booklet all have a slight musty smell to them. I have completely disassembled all of this, cleaned and lightly oiled everything. Please view all pictures carefully to judge the condition for yourself.

At 11 years old, in the summer of 1960, I had 8 different part time fobs. Some yard maintenance and some babysitting. At first, I walked my routes in a small, at the time, in the outer edges or LA county. I loved the bike. At 16 years old I left home and worked full time in a metal fabrication department for a company that made patio furniture. I was the second fastest production operator on the brake and punch out presses in the plant. The Forman was the fastest. Also crushed 4 digits on my hands. At 19 years old I was a Sargent in charge of an Airborne Infantry Squad which had a M-60 machine gun crew. I was sent to the Republic of Viet Nam. Was wounded in the end of 67. When I came home I couldn’t find a comfortable place to work so started my own business. After about 10,000 belts and a good number of bags, satchels and key fobs I moved on to Jewelry. Atlanta, Virginia Beach, New York City, all the big towns in Ohio, then on to Detroit, Ann Arbor, Chicago, and many cities in between then back down south. While doing the touring I received over 70 awards for design and craftsmanship. By the time I was 40 I had my own jewelry store and became a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) in Delray Beach Florida. During that time, I designed, developed, and taught the jewelry program for the Boca Raton Museum. I moved back to Colorado (was born in Denver) about 10 years ago. Yes, I’m no spring chicken. For the last several years I have been creating works in wood and have plans to combine gems with fine wood products. In the mean time I started collecting antique woodworking tools. I studied and worked with many a vintage tool. Realizing I could find good tools at auctions and bring them to the public at a lower price that I had been paying. Now I’m bringing these finds to you.
