This is beautiful just as something to set around even if you never intend to use it. It has a gorgeous patina. Imagine all the leaves that were actually made with this. This is a really rare 3 piece set that’s complete. This makes a single rose leaf. First, there is the cutter. It’s 4 3/4 inches long and the cutter head is about 1 1/4 inches across and 2 3/4 inches long. Still sharp and ready to use. The cutter is made of iron. There is also a 2 part leaf mold complete with top and bottom. The bottom part is made of iron and is 7 1/2 inches long including the wood handle. The top is about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches across and 3/4 inch deep of solid brass. When the top veiner and bottom are put together it’s 1 1/2 inches thick. This makes a leaf with 3 distinct tips. This is quite usable and you could actually cut and form a leaf today exactly how it was done years ago. Wonderful also just for display. Has a great patina. If you wanted you could polish the brass to its original color and clean up the iron bottom. The 2 pieces together weigh just about 2 pounds so this is a substantial and serious tool. A complete 20-piece series of vintage hollow mills (Fraises pour décolleter) for watchmaking and precision restoration. This set matches the No. 47 series found in the original Lorch Schmidt catalogs. The Complete Series (20 Pieces). Full Sequential Run: Includes sizes 3 through 22. A complete, matching series like this is extremely difficult to find. Shank Measurement: Verified at 4.50mm with digital calipers (as shown in photos). These are designed to be held in a 4.5mm collet on a Lorch 10mm LLRGN or similar high-precision lathe. Application: Specifically designed for precision turning of watch pivots, shaping screw heads, and finishing small cylindrical components. Sharp Cutting Faces: All tools have clean, sharp edges with the hollow-ground geometry intact. Excellent Preservation: The tools show light, honest age but no damage or “crashes” to the delicate cutting teeth. The numbering remains crisp and legible. Up for sale is a USED Neway valve seat cutter tool kit set. The case contains a T handle, 1 Allen wrench, 1 straight small rod, 5 larger rods, and the #102W cutter. There are metal shavings on the cutter heads but overall I think it’s in good condition. The case is dirty but functions properly. The small Allen wrench is slightly bent.
