Or if you don’t want to wait weeks to have it done from some outside “machine shop”… Even do a few valve jobs for friends and this will pay for itself MANY times over. The seat cutters in this kit have performed very well for hobbyist & professionals even for me many times… This is NOT rocket science, I personally usually get a very good sealing surface with just the cutters. I use the cutters and then lap in the valves. It takes me 10 to 20 min to get the cuts and the seal I want on a small performance engine. I mark the seat with a black sharpee to see where I will cut, I do this on both valve seats.. Then i lap in the valves with lapping compound until i get a nice grey consistent seat… Clean very well and you are done… First to cut 45 degree sealing surface to get the valve where they want it depth wise.. Then go back and do the blend or flow cuts with the 60 degree and the 30… This is a great tool to learn and experiment with what works with your situation without depending on others and their opinions. Note: depending on your valve size it is possible to do a 4 or 5 step or/angle valve job with these cutters. I can honestly say I have never gotten a better valve seat from an outside machine shop than the ones I CUT on my own with this set. If you race a class that does not allow porting then a good valve seat/ valve Job is the best thing you can do for increased performance. Track Page Views With.
