Parts nice set of 18 irons blades cutters for British Lewin wood plane like 45

The cutters are not marked, but many of them are quite distinctive in shape. The Lewin plane is an interesting plane, and is a British copy of a Stanley 45 with (in my opinion) an emphasis on function over form or aesthetics. The typical Stanley 45 cutter is just under 1/8 thick, these cutters average about. 130″ thick (plus of minus a few thousandths) or just over 1/8″. 5 bead or beading cutters, with nominal cutting widths of 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2. The 3/8″ and 1/2″ are about a 32nd undersize. 10 dado or plow cutters, with widths of 1/8″ through 1/2″ by 16ths, and 5/8″, 3/4″, and 7/8. 1 filletster cutter with a width of 1-1/4. And 2 match or tongue cutters with widths of 3/16″ and 1/4″. Both have their proper depth stops. Overall length of each cutter is between 3-1/2″ and 3-5/8″. All of the cutters have the notch in the upper corner, similar to a Stanley notch. Will these cutters fit in your Stanley 45? I tried them in a couple of 45’s, the cutters fit in the slot ok, but I had to back out the clamp quite a bit farther to get them to fit, compared to clamping a Stanley cutter. Condition of all 18 is very good to excellent, reasonably bright and shiny, with some bits of patina (color) here and there, and some tiny bits of pitting on a couple of the cutters. They have all been resharpened at some time in the past, and will want a light sharpening. I sell what I enjoy, and I collect antique woodworking tools and.
