The top and bottom plates, and all punches are made of S7 shock-resistant tool steel through hardened to 55HRC. The Swanstrom shape cutter offers punches with precision-ground surfaces, to deliver smooth edges requiring minimal clean up. The tight tolerances between the punches and the spring-loaded die plate ensure clean cuts while prolonging the service life of the disc cutter. The die plate clamps your metal to prevent distortion and keeps your fingers out of the way. It’s easy to open and close, so that you can adjust the cutter for your material. Place a shim of the same thickness as the material being cut on the opposite side of the disc cutter to keep the plates balanced. Set comes with the following. Two-die plates, 3″W x 5″D x 1-1/16H (76.2 x 127 x 26.99mm). Four punches, each is 2 (50.8mm) tall. 1/2″ x 23/32″ (12.7 x 18.25mm). 5/8″ x 13/16″ (15.87 x 20.63mm). 3/4″ x 15/16″ (19.05 x 23.81mm). 7/8″ x 1-3/16″ (22.22 x 30.16mm). A strong rubber base, 6″ x 6″ x 1/2 (152.4 x 152.4 x 12.7mm), that conveniently holds the cutter and dies.
